Hey there,
most photos I do are quite wet, always connected to the model´s personality and my rain-series is maybe not only the biggest on the world, it is surely a portrait-series with a mass of strange, normal, weirdo-ideas based on pre-shoot-interviews with the models/persons.
Every pic tells a story, if one does not, then maybe there was not sooooo much to tell.
I am always searching for models, meanwhile mostly for special people because after 120 shoots in the rain I need assistance in finding ideas.
Technical FAQ: The rain-machine is self constructed, it is just some plastic-thingy with lot´s of holes at the height of 3,5 meters. It is feeded by a suction-pump in a tub full of warm water.
The core of this photography is the Bläsing Made in Germany flash technology: Generators with extremely high tension are powering flash units with several appromimately 30 inches long flash-bulbs. This makes the flash very short-timed on very high energy. Mostly I´m shooting with a Phaseone DB on Hasselblad.
Have fun, cheers,
Boris
